‘World Thinking Day’ was organized on 22nd February at Bal Bharti Public School, Nishatpura, the leading educational institution of the city. It is noteworthy that since 1926, 22nd February is celebrated every year as ‘World Thinking Day’ by Scouts and Guides and organizations around the world. This program was organized in the school premises. Mr. R N Sharma, District Training Commissioner Scout Bhopal (the chief guest), School Principal Mr Kuldeep Singh, Coordinator Mrs Mradulata Singh were present. At the beginning of the program, along with lighting of the lamp, offered flowers ‘Lord Baden Powell’ & ‘Lady Baden Powell’ pictures and prayers of all religions were offered. The chief guest said that World Thinking Day is the day of international friendship. World Thinking Day is going to complete 100 years in 2026 and World Association of Girl Guides and Scouts is going to complete 100 years in 2028. The next 4 years 2025 to 2028 will focus on celebrating our global movement through inspiring topics with the World Thinking Day theme, which will explore our rich history, meaningful symbolism, unique people and exciting future. Scouting students from various schools of Bhopal participated in the program. On this occasion, a painting and essay competition on ‘Environmental Change’ was organized for the students of class IV to VII. School co-ordinator Mrs. Mradulata Singh encouraged the students. Principal Mr. Kuldeep Singh awarded the winning students and in his address, he taught the students to move ahead in life by following the life values of scouts and guides – friendship, reliability, humility, love of nature, courage, protection of public property and discipline. The school’s scout instructor Mr. Anil Das was appreciated for the successful conduct of the program.
